When ARISTOCRATS brought me on as their creative director I knew I didn’t want to just a build a shop that the Bay Area could be proud of. I wanted to build a shop that carried on the street culture that I remember and love. Like Tet from WTAPS said “It was never about the clothing,” it is just expressing yourself and sometimes it happens to come out through clothing. We love and support all the brands were bringing in and we hope other people will enjoy it too. Two things that inspire me the most are youth and rebellion and that will show more as time goes on…
Jun gave us the chance to bring in Lafayette and I’m really excited because I believe they are trying to do the same thing that we are doing. With 3 shops in Japan and what I perceive to be on of the best in-house brands ever, we are honored to carry them. Their 7 year anniversary is just around the corner in June and I’d like to thank the whole Lafayette Crew and Jun for inviting us… Our 1 year is just around the corner as well.
“Lafayette is established on 2003, we are influenced from New York things. The name is from famous NY street but the name has historic background. Lafayette was earl of french. He contribute american independent war so, our mission is making happen on street culture.”
