OBON Festival 2010

Obon festival is traditionally known as a custom to honor your dead ancestor’s and typically lasts for three days. This year Japantown San Jose will be celebrating this Saturday and Sunday July 10th & 11. Additionally, we will also be holding our second annual Obon Festival Sale… The sale also applies to our customers who prefer phone/email orders.

Beans & Croydon says… “One thing we noticed was that no store in the South Bay was doing much for the community… In the sense that there was no place where kids with similar or not so similar interests can hang out together. In San Francisco there is lots of places but they are all 21+ and we didn’t want to discriminate. We approached our friends at HVY RSNL (another marketing/promotions group) about doing a weekly event , locals will know them for throwing the legendary Major thursdays at Sabor. They came up with Monday Night Strike and it is nearly perfect.

The event is 18+ no dress code, $3 pints for 21+ and NO COVER!

This is our invitation to all other stores, weirdos, freaks and geeks, whoever. Come celebrate with ARISTOCRATS every monday.”

Thanks to everyone that came out and came out to Grindtime. Grindtime is a national MC battle and we were happy to host the Norcal division at the shop. Thanks to IMPRM for donating the clothes and thanks to all who tipped us at the bar, if you didn’t we remember who you are. Last but not least, Ghambit and co-host thanks for making it all happen.
