Lafayette recently worked with famed photographer Jonathan Mannion, Stussy, and DJ Clark Kent on these photo tee’s. Mr. Mannion is most well known for photographing Jay-Z for his Reasonable Doubt album (which is a classic to me). The tee’s celebrate his most recent exhibition in Japan hosted by Stussy and Lafayette.

Dearly Departed released their Fall 2011 lookbook not too long ago. Nice to see them growing as a brand and getting better and better. We will be receiving the line at Aristocrats SJ/LA. Japantown & Little Tokyo.

Last week we visited Independence High School to talk to their art department in conjunction with a project we are doing with them. The students of Independence High or Indy High as its affectionately known as will be creating works in a multitude of mediums inspired by what inspires them. We will also be holding an Opening Reception for them. Our goal at ARISTOCRATS has always been to support the community and even though a lot of stores do this, we take that extra step.
This was our 1st visit we hope to see their progress in our next visit.

Though we are about to open our Los Angeles Little Tokyo store it doesn’t mean we will stop supporting the Bay Area. So, when WEKSOS approached us and asked us to host their Second Annual Santa Cruz Rendezvous we hopped on the opportunity.
WEKSOS is a company that started in San Jose and has been providing aftermarket car parts to its respective community worldwide for many years. Three years ago they started the well known WEKFEST which was a car show with the mood of a car meet that was held in a small parking garage in Japantown San Francisco. In 2011, with the demand rising for a no-frills car show that did not focus on the cheesy things that have been associated with the scene in past years, they brought WEKFEST on tour around the USA. They are currently still on tour with the last date for this year being in December in Hawaii.
We are extremely pleased to be hosting this FREE car meet in support of WEKSOS which has brought the unique Bay Area car scene around the United States.
